Longview, TX – Shreveport, LA (3/5/22 – 3/6/22)

Daddy and Grandpa decided it would be fun to take a road trip up north to Longview, TX to visit aunt Sara

She had toys and fun things there to keep the girls entertained

They were being very silly for Aunt Sara

And they just wouldn’t stop being silly when we tried to get a family photo

After lunch with Aunt Sara we headed back to our hotel in Shreveport, where they had a rooftop pool!

They could’ve stayed in the pool all night but it was getting late

It was a long day of traveling and swimming, everybody was pooped

They were up and ready to go the next morning though

Part of the reason for this trip was so that we could see the Martin McClanahan Mason’s Lodge

Daddy and Grandpa thought this was so cool, and the girls were happy that we were so happy

They were definitely happy with the post-lodge donuts

We took the old McClanahan scenic route back home, with a stop at the Fillmore cemetery in Haughton

The girls surprisingly enjoyed it, and spent a lot of time picking flowers (and leaves and sticks) for their McClanahan ancestors

The next stop on our route was in a town called Dixie Inn, where there is an actual McClanahan Park

Forget Disney World, this is the happiest place on Earth!
