Ollie’s first visit to the Dentist!
First she waited patiently for her Daddy’s teeth to be cleaned
Then it was finally her turn
She was very good and sat very still for Ms. Allison to clean her teeth
Dr. Larson gave her the seal of approval, no cavities!
Ollie just hanging out in this cozy bucket
We decided to host a big 4th of July party this year
We had beach balls and a pool for the kids
A lot of people showed up, we had a great time with great food and drinks
The hose running all day created a bit of a mud pit, which the kids loved of course
The next day Grandpa came by to see the girls
Then Ollie got to ride with him to Lafayette for a sleepover at Nemo’s with her cousins Brad and Blake
Then on Saturday Evie and Daddy came to town.
We got to go have lunch at Pizza Village
A great meal as always
Ollie and her parrain after lunch
We also picked up a new swing for the house at Bare Wood Furniture Center in Carencro
We are pretty excited to have this outside, thanks to Grandpa for helping to install the hanging hooks
The girls are definitely loving it
The whole family is loving it!
Then on Sunday Mommy took Ollie to the Marriott for ice cream, a hotel so tall that Ollie always calls it the “castle” when we pass it on I-10
And they continued their castle hunt by going to see the Old State Capitol
Ollie had so much fun downtown, playing in the water
The princess of Baton Rouge some call her…
With Tropical Storm (later known as Hurricane) Barry on way we had one last outing before hunkering down, Mason’s!
With work and daycare/school closed we had lots of time to enjoy the cool pre-hurricane weather
Trapped in the house for a few days the girls found ways to have fun, like brushing Sully
And dressing up like princesses
Ollie’s not so sure about Evie wearing her favorite Elsa dress
All the rain outside made for lots of muddy puddles to splash in
The next week it was time for Ollie’s week of swimming lessons at Beau and Mary’s house
Ollie had her good days and bad days with the water
But she tried her best is what counts
All that swimming wore her out
With Ollie at swimming lessons each afternoon Evie got to visit Daddy’s office
She was a big help and got lots of work done
Our little chef making her own pizza!
A weekend visit to Ville Platte, the girls love being out in the country driving tractors
And Evie loves sitting with her Popee and eating his raisins
When the girls got back to town it was time for a visitor, Aunt Carol and Ms. Jake brought little Logan!
Logan fit right in with our always chaotic house
She even joined in on a little jam session
A few days later Mommy wasn’t feeling so good so Daddy came home and took the girls out to get some pink donuts
They always love it at Thee Heavenly Donut
They even have a chalkboard to draw on
After that we decided to combine Daddy’s love of chicken nuggets with the girls’ love of playgrounds, Chick-Fil-A!
The girls got to play AND get chicken nuggets, double score
On Thursday 7/25/19 it was Ollie’s last day of daycare at University Methodist, she’ll be going to Southdowns Elementary in the fall
She’s been going there for 3 years, we’re sure she’s going to miss it
But when we picked her up that day she didn’t seem too wistful, she was excited to move onto a new adventure
Her good pal Charlotte had a birthday party at The Little Gym in Zachary this month
A fun place, plus they got pizza
Happy Birthday Charlotte!
While the girls were at the party Blake was at their house jamming on the drums
Ollie got to go see him that night when we met up with the Fortier’s for dinner at Mike Anderson’s
With daycare closed for a week, the girls got to spend lots of time at home with Mommy, eating ice cream!
Our good friends Paul & Kim just moved from Prairieville to right near our house, and on a visit to check it out while they move in…Evie was the first person to get in their pool!
Ollie was right behind her as the second person, officially making it the first pool party at the new house
With their clothes all wet they ran around and dried off in the empty living room
Now it’s time for Ollie’s Photo Cornerâ„¢, she’s learned how to take pictures with her iPad, here’s a couple of the 100 or so she took this month
This one’s titled “The last thing a goldfish cracker sees….”
What a great month! July was a big party month. So much FUN was had by all
