Very busy month, we bought a new house!
Evie seems pretty excited about it, the closing date was set for 5/15
So that means we had a couple more weeks to enjoy the old place, which included Ollie making a giant tent in the living room
We found this scared child inside the tent
We believe this woman with the evil laugh put her inside that tent
Evie got to make another visit to her Daddy’s office, she was in a great mood and everybody thought she was the cutest
Mommy let Ollie have her own basket at the grocery store. Now she always has to have her own cart.
One of our last backyard parties at the old place
And one of our last walks around the old neighborhood, so the girls decided to dress fancy
Evelyn getting upset with the refs while we watched the Pelicans playoff game vs. the Warriors
Later that evening winding down after a long Sunday
Chocolate ice cream, a reward for pooping in the potty
On Friday the daycare invited all the Moms to come in for a Mother’s Day breakfast with the kids
And we got Ollie’s school pictures
Our last weekend in the old house, Honey and Grandpa came in to help us load up our storage pod
Ollie helped Grandpa get some work done before we started hauling boxes
It was Honey’s birthday that weekend!
And chocolate cake was on the menu…
Finally got it all packed up, bye bye old house!
For the week of the house closing we stayed with Gran over at the condo
And for Mother’s day Ollie got her Momma tickets to Disney on Ice at the River Center. They both had a blast, Ollie’s reaction to seeing all her favorite characters was hilarious.
It’s official, we’re the owners of a new home (mortgage)!
Ollie loved the giant key at her Nanny’s office
Ollie got started right away on the new kitchen remodel
The night of the closing we started moving a few things over
Then on Friday we unloaded everything we’d need to sleep in the new house, Grandpa came in totally crushed it, wearing himself out.
Then on Saturday we got visitors, Cody & Ashlyn brought Bradley & Blake over to see the house
First Sunday morning in the new place
Evie got her first roll over all by herself this month
Which now means she can turn herself around in this thing too
Thanks to Lee and his big Southeast Tire truck we were able to move everything from storage to the new house in just a few hours, Cody came to town too to help us move a lot of heavy stuff
The girls are getting more and more used to their new rooms
We’ve found a lot of great new local restaurants, Ollie got to go with her Mom and Ms. Ross to see one of our new favorites, Casa La Vida
Ollie is really enjoying walking the new neighborhood, lots of trees with squirrels, and sticks to pick up off the ground
Evie is learning to play drums along with Metallica
It’s summertime now, which means lots of Mommy and Evie time during the day
Work has officially begun on the house, starting with the scraping of the popcorn ceilings
With a lot of the house being cleared out for the workers we had to find other activities, like getting ice cream at Chick-Fil-A
And swimming outside
Our little Evelyn is 6 months old now!
MAY 2018! What a month! Ollie and Evie, you have a very exciting life. A new house this month, how cool is that! It will be so much fun discovering the new neighborhood and finding a bunch of new friends!
