Ollie had her 2nd birthday on 2/7/18, she has been celebrating it all month
She started her birthday with a stop at her Nanny’s to get this shiny sequin backpack
Then it was off to daycare to celebrate with her friends
Momma brought cupcakes for everybody to enjoy
The first of several birthday cakes she got, this one to celebrate at home
Let’s not forget Evie though…
She had an exciting month, turning 3 months old
She got to take her first visit to AM Mart, home of the famous cajun turkey sandwich
One night when Mommy got to go visit with her friends, Daddy got to stay home with both girls, it started off pretty good
But quickly escalated into a double meltdown
Continuing Ollie’s birthday celebration with a trip to Lafayette
This was the first time Evie got to meet Blake (since he was sick at Christmas), so this was the first time the four of them were all together
Brad wanted to hold baby Evie
And Ollie got some great birthday gifts, thanks everybody!
Honey and Grandpa got her a trampoline that we set up when we got home
Evie was very impressed, and shocked by how much air Ollie was getting on her trampoline
Uncle Lawrence’s funeral was a tough day but seeing so many family and friends that loved Lawrence made things a little better.
Evelyn loved it when Allison held her
And afterwards a lot of our family from Texas stayed to visit
The next birthday celebration for Ollie was at her Nanny’s
She had to share her party with Uncle Mitch this year, I don’t think either was thrilled about that
Since her birthday is during carnival season she got her traditional birthday king cake from Ambrosia
“Thanks Mommy!”
Popee helped her open one of her gifts, an Abby Cadabby doll
The Southdowns Mardi Gras parade was going on down the street that night so Ollie got to go check it out with her Nanny
And to top it all off she even got to sleep over at Nanny’s and enjoy breakfast outside the next morning
Trying out their Christmas gift from Honey, matching pajamas!
On Mardi Gras day Daddy got brave and decided to take both girls to the grocery store, they were very well behaved
Valentine’s Day was this month so of course Daddy’s sweet girls got a few gifts
Evelyn was fascinated with this balloon
Another birthday cake for Ollie, when Honey, Grandpa and Nemo came by to visit one Saturday. This one was a lemon dobasche from Rao’s in Houston, amazing cake.
And a trip to Sammy’s with the family is always fun
Evelyn got to make her first visit to her Daddy’s office this month, everybody there loved her of course
Ollie got ahold of a magnifying glass and has been having a lot of fun with it
There was backyard bake sale in the neighborhood one Sunday we decided to check out, even Gran decided to join us
This month Amy, Niki and Melissa finally told Judy that as a gift for her 70th birthday this year that they’re taking her on a trip to Costa Rica. She cried she was so happy that her daughters would do something so nice for her.
Ollie got to hang out with her pals Mary Catherine and Charlotte at Highland Park
And they kept the party going with a little lunch at Mi Padre’s afterwards
Evie has had Acid Reflux for a while and also went through a rough week of RSV this month, but she’s been a trooper all the way through and always has lots of smiles for us
We look so Gangsta’ on those steps.
Haha yeah Marc, Amy said it looks like it could be an album cover if they ever start a band.
Wow!! So much action this month! It literally takes my breath away! Can’t wait to see what the rest of 2018 brings.
